Cities and states are trying to limit the ability
of Food Not Bombs to share food and organize for peace and and end to
poverty. Food Not Bombs volunteers are being arrested for sharing food with the hungry at Lake Eola Park in Orlando in an effort to drive the homeless out of site.
Large group feeding laws and other policies against Food Not
Bombs are being proposed after the Federal Court ruled that Orlando
could limit Food Not Bombs to sharing food and literature to twice a
year per park. Fort Lauderdale and Saint Petersburg Florida announced
they would pass Orlando type laws. We need everyone to write a letter to
each of the city officials and ask them to support the right of Food Not
Bombs to feed the hungry and seek popular support for an end to the
criminalization of poverty in the United States.

We are organizing a letter writing
campaign to seek an end to the arrests of people sharing food with the
hungry in Orlando. Restricting our meals and protest to twice a year per
park is a violation of our rights. The city should support Food Not
Bombs in ending poverty instead of spending the taxpayers money on
efforts to hide the cities poor. Please make sure you include the city
and country that you are writing from so it is clear we have world wide
support. Thanks for your support!
