"I am still in the afterglow of your visit. I was just told by a girl that this event was the best event she has seen hosted so far at goucher. thought i would let you know. happy thanksgiving."

Anndal - Student from Goucher College in Baltimore

"Keith,
People can't stop talking about your presentation here at ASU! You had mentioned that you had some information regarding tent cities and the possibility of a mass demonstration in DC this spring. Could you please send me that information? We would like to start organizing for that as soon as possible."

Melissa - Student from Appalachian State University

"Since when did feeding the homeless become a terrorist activity?" asked ACLU Associate Legal Director Ann Beeson. "When the FBI and local law enforcement target groups like Food Not Bombs under the guise of fighting terrorism, many Americans who oppose government policies will be discouraged from speaking out and exercising their rights."

THE DETAILS OF THE FOOD NOT BOMBS PRESENTATION

The Food Not Bombs presentation includes the history, principles and accomplishments of this movement that works for peace sharing free vegetarian food in hundreds of communities all over the world. Learn the story of how eight college students started Food Not Bombs in Boston in 1980. We talk about the principles of Food Not Bombs and why it is so important for the movement to have no formal leaders and why each chapter is autonomous. The presentation also explains how the movement has become global because of it's dedication to the principles of nonviolence, that decisions are made by consensus, that the food is free to anyone who wants it without restriction and that the food is vegetarian or vegan. The audience will see why Food Not Bombs has inspired several generations of dedicated peace activists. Your classmates and community members will be inspired to join your student group after they attend this exciting presentation. Ask your student senate to fund this valuable experience.

The presentation also includes some of these stories about what Food Not Bombs is doing to end hunger and work for social justice and the environment:
